I am 23 year old student on my last year of study at the University of Sydney (Sydney), majoring in Information technology.
Why are more businesses not ‘Handicapped friendly’?
I have Multiple Sclerosis and when I’m out in public I usually have to use my wheelchair.
I went to a pizza parlor a couple of months ago because my daughters soccer team was celebrating their winning season and the restaurant didn’t have any way for me to get up to the area where my daughter’s soccer team was. I am QUITE CERTAIN that my daughter was kind of embarrased about the entire situation (as was I!) since some of the restaurant employees had to pick up my wheelchair so I could sit up where the celebration was being held!
